Successful Test Announcement

Scappoose, OR 19 February 2021- Pacific Antenna Systems LLC, in coordination with technical demonstration partner Hughes Network Systems LLC, Defense and Intelligence Systems Division, successfully demonstrated through the rotor, full-duplex Beyond Line of Sight, satellite connectivity to support full-motion video on a heavy lift, four-blade counter-rotating aircraft. Utilizing Pacific Antenna Systems’ AS-400-KA OBSCAN antenna system and the Hughes HM-Series modem, the team delivered high-performance satellite data communications, in adverse weather (rain, fog, snow, ice,) and through a challenging dual blade, counter-rotating, turning rotors at 100 percent RPMs. The high data rate capability demonstrated on this counter-rotating blade aircraft showcases the unique technical abilities both companies produce for our customers.
